Finals

Well, here are the last versions of some of my pieces this semester. I didn't manage to get good shots of all of them. I also haven't taken photographs of all my drawings, and I dont have any photos of my prints. I'll try to get those up over the coming weeks.

These first two I'm entering in a student show in January.

This next one has been through a lot of changes.... still struggling... I can't quite see where it should go.

This is the same blue one in pervious posts that has changed dramatically..... I think I'm abandoning this one.

Adirondack series in drawing.

This is my final drawing- it's 38" by 100". The theme is still playing upon the paradoxes of the Adirondack culture, but this one specifically talk about park borders. In the white space to the left, it says in relief "you are now leaving the adirondack state park". The blue line dividing that space from the rest of the drawing refers to the "Blue line". When they were drawing up the charter for the park, officials where drawing the park border on a map in a blue line, so that the park border began to be refered to as the "Blue line". The rest of the scene shows a modern adirondack park, the human presence now having a common place, but the main point is that humans place arbitrary boundaries on nature.
